Cold Weather Should Bring Out the Books You Got for Christmas

Jim and I practiced the Icelandic custom of exchanging books on Christmas Eve.  It’s called Jolabokaflod (literally, the Christmas book flood). Intentionally, we picked hard cover, beautiful books.  I gave him Improbable Creatures. He gave me The Courting of Bristol Keats.

Did you get any books for Christmas? I hope you did. But if you didn't, how about visiting your local bookstore and treating yourself? Or have you been eyeing something on Amazon or Apple Books? (For better or for worse, my books are only available on Amazon or directly from me).

If you’ve read a book you liked recently, I invite you to put the title and author up in the comments section.  And please do sign up for my mailing list. If you didn't get a copy of The Franklin Key for Christmas, remember it’s very reasonable all year around. My prices are well below average retail, no matter what format.

I'm working on the sequel, which is titled The Galileo Ducat. I hope it will be out by summer. I'm also working on a children’s book called The Fairy Godchild. Watch this space for more updates. And Happy New Year!
