Greetings friends and followers. I want to give you a brief update on my writing. First, The Galileo Ducat is coming along! I'm at 41 thousand words and aiming for 80 thousand plus. The Galileo Ducat is set mostly in Florence, Italy and in London, England. Obviously, Galileo us a character. Its been so much fun researching him. I almost feel like I knww him. In addition, parts of the story go back to the unification of Italy in the 19th century (about which I knew nothing!) and to the World War II Battle of Monte Cassino. Does that whet your appetite?
In addition, I have submitted a children’s story called The Fairy Godchild to a publisher and am waiting to hear from them. I LOVED writing that story and I hope they will too.
Since mid-September, I've reviewed a half dozen books for authors and publishers. You can find the reviews both on Goodreads and on my blog foxrunfeelings.wordpress.com. I'm about to start Charlie N. Holmberg’s Book of Magic. The review and the book will be out around the second week in November. I have loved Charlie’s Whimbrel House series, and there’s a new one of those coming soon also.
I spoke to my first book club in October, at a Presbyterian church in Orchard Park. I am scheduled to speak at the Orchard Park Library in December. And I will be selling my books at the Fox Run Run Holiday Shop if you live in the area. I'm happy to sign copies.
This Saturday is Indie Author Day at the Buffalo Central Library. I'm excited because it looks like they have some very good speakers. I look forward to learning from them.
Please be in touch if you’d like me to speak to your group. It doesn't have to be a book club. I'm happy to speak to women’s groups, men's groups, even high school classes. You can leave me a message here or email me at marjact1991@yahoo.com. See you soon! Marja
P.S. If you missed my deal earlier, I still have a few codes for the audio book of The Franklin Key. I'm happy to send them out in exchange for an honest review.
